Wait until we find out whether Eds got the new sim or not. If he does get it, wait the 3 weeks. If he doesn't, then I presume he'll hand it over for someone else to do.
Should just finish the season. Even if there's no live simming. Changes half way through a season FTL.
TBH I don't really see what we're achieving by getting a new sim still. The current sim is fine, surely if you get it fiddled with to give an output so you don't have to type everything out simming is easy.
You said you'd asked Cribb. You never said that you'd gone out and asked an independant programmer who could mod it.
The sim really is not that good anyway. It is no where near as in depth as I would like, and the stats are ridiculously bad.
But everyone else seems pretty happy with it. So the answer to my question is you haven't asked an independent programmer if he could mod it?
Becasue the sim is so random. Ask anyone involved with SR if more regular simmage and individual stats will improve it massively and they will say yes.
The sim is pretty shit tbh. A lot of people have actually complained about the lack of individual stats, if you're a forward you have no idea of how good you've played.
Yeah sure thing, but there's probably a lot that could be simply done with this sim still. I will be completely honest and say I don't particularly fancy sending my own money to you to make this sim as, whilst the current sim isn't absolutely gobsmacking, it gets the job done and your input with it in terms of commentary makes it a very enjoyable sim.
I understand that. I might actually give a mate of mine a ring who does a lot with computing (programming, website design etc.) and ask if he'd do it cheaper that this as $200 is pushing it a bit for a sim to be made, and he'll probably do it for £50.
I wouldn't put it past him. He's good enough to be offered work experience by the company who develop Adidas, Nike, Apple, etc. websites and adverts and I've seen the stuff he's made which is awesome. I've sent him an email and he'll probably get back to me soon, worth asking the question at least.
My point exactly. He loves creating things so he'd probably do it cheaper anyway as it gives him something to do.
