Inspired by Cribb. Got me thinking about who the GB FC team would be in the RL England side. 1. JP Goodfellow - Tresco. Devastating for country. http://www.cricsim.com/site/match.php?id=1120 2. JE McGrath - Alistair Cook. A solid pick, yet prone to silly mistakes. http://www.cricsim.com/site/match.php?id=1108 yet can do http://www.cricsim.com/site/match.php?id=1120 3. JRE Luffman - Hybrid betweem Pietersen, England's best bat and Strauss, solid at the top. http://www.cricsim.com/site/match.php?id=1225 4. BL Hornby - The bravado of Pietersen, yet the competence of Bopara http://www.cricsim.com/site/match.php?id=1120 5. ND Short - Ian Bell / Jonathan Trott 6. SLO Graham - Matt Prior, Good witht he bat, shite with the gloves. 7. C Laing - Likes to think of himself as a Flintoff who can bat, batting 7, but more akin to Stuart Broad. 8. S Smith - Ashley Giles. Picked because there's no-one else 9. AP Farnsworth - Craig White 10. JT Whicker - Jimmy Anderson. Great bowler, always there when you need him. 11. BOY Blunder - Steve Harmison. Terribly inconsistent, good with the new ball... average witht the old. http://www.cricsim.com/site/match.php?id=1159 12. M Deane - Jamie Dalrymple. Cribb to confirm Discuss. Dispute. This isn't entirely serious.
No he didnt lol. Interesting to see yours. I was thinking Dafter Trott. One really good season. Trotts played a fair bit longer though.
I did your one day team to Marcuss on MSN a few hours back. 1. Seeks = Knight (specialist OD opener who looks to bat through the innings) 2. Hornby = Pietersen (gun bat, but questions over true loyalties) 3. Luffman = Thorpe (gunnest actual English bat in recent times, better in FC cricket but still classy in OD cricket) 4. Short = Trott (definitely not English or even top class, but better than the alternatives) 5. Deane = Dalrymple (batting allrounder who can't convert starts, bowls off spin pies) 6. Laing = Wright (big hitter and semi-decent bowler, can surprise against good opposition despite looking dire) 7. Graham = Prior (wicket keeper who should only be playing FC cricket, but here he is in OD cricket!) 8. Smith = Swann (off spinner, handy bat) - Giles does fit much better though 9. Farnsworth = White (bowling allrounder who can't translate his batting at the top level) 10. Whicker = Caddick (Australasian opening bowler, inconsistent but deadly on his day) 11. Blunder = Saj (people rate him because he's quick, but he leaks runs and can't land it on the cup strip regularly in one day cricket)
Nah Short is Bell. Only scores when everyone else does. http://www.cricsim.com/site/match.php?id=1203 EDIT- In FC stuff.
http://www.cricsim.com/site/match.php?id=1001 Should have gone with that match... for Cribb's benefit of course.
Nah, Vaughan seemed to alwyas convert a 70 to a big score. McGrath doesn't. Blunder to set it out more clearly.
Yeh true. He had a damn good game though lol. Bell did really well against weak opposition though so that explains it
Blunder is Kabir Ali/Plunkett... or at least tries to be. http://www.cricsim.com/showpost.php?p=58542&postcount=78 http://www.cricsim.com/showthread.php?p=37913&highlight=innings#post37913 http://www.cricsim.com/showpost.php?p=88799&postcount=241 http://www.cricinfo.com/engvsl/engine/match/225254.html Dalrymple is a gun.
