Falling over the line, which he's done for most of his tries, does not make up for creating tries for the opposition, which he's done countless times. Nor does it make up for dropping easy bombs. But yeah a try is a try is a try in your world. Would he have scored either of those tries if Oates was out there instead of Nikorima out of position? Yeah probably not.
