Lol, we got seriously smashed. And I got whipped in the singles as well.

 

Auckland: Quarter Finals

Quarter finals day here was not full of thrilling contests this time, with only one match in both singles and doubles making its way to three sets. That was when Luka Popovic made it through to the semi finals at the expense of last round's upset Reagan Wheelson. Wheelson put in another good show today, putting the Popovic serve under pressure early on. But midway through the third set, he served two double faults in a row, allowing Popovic to come in and break him to take the first set. It was a similar story in the second set, but this time Wheelson got his reward for the relentless effort he was putting in (was taking almost every game to deuce off serve) and took the second set. Now after this it somehow went downhill. Very much so. In the third set, Wheelson won his first game, and well, nothing else. Yeah. In other games that provided a bit of excitement, Ritwick Chowdhuri got crushed in the doubles by Leumas Himann & Joshua Ritchie, Chad Dyer & Andrew James nabbed a close one to set up a semi final against Davis & Lee, who pushed out promising Queensland pair Downes & Wheelson.
