    Sydney: Quarter Finals

Once again it was Sydney that saw the best action of the day, which started with New South Welshman Alex O'Driscoll progressing with a routine victory over fellow stateman Morgan Burridge. Although it wasn't all doom and gloom for Burridge as he and doubles partner Henry Daman were the best over three sets against Samuel Yates & Bosh Burger. The game was very tightly contested, but for once Yates' super serve didn't see him through this doubles match. Yes, again there were many aces for Burger/Yates, but they also conceded quite a few too. And taking into account that at one point in the match, all it seemed to be was deuces and the final result, the losing pair have little reason for disappointment with the way they played. Although he lost in the doubles, Yates is still in with a chance of a trophy this week after beating Siege Morgan in straight sets, although he did need tiebreakers in both sets to do so. He'll face Oscar Wood, who came back from a set down to convincingly beat Bosh Burger. Wood's serve is still a point of worry, putting 7 double faults down (although he did get 4 aces), but it won't be a massive issue facing Yates in the semis. Late entries Ginger Furball & Brett Hall also secured a semifinal berth after beating the forced together pair of Morgan & Wood.

I played alone. You and Ritchie taken together were slightly better than me.

Aby was busy shopping for his wedding. So, I told him that I'll take care of the 2 of you. It turns out that I slightly underestimated your pair.
