Spark - can't get a game at number 8 in reserve grade for his club; starting number 8 for South. Akso, thank fuck Burgey isn't playing, he smashes cunts.
Right, changes for Game 2. Any suggestions? My thoughts are: Hutchinson in for Herd . Hunt and Alessi to swap. Heads onto the bench. Possibly move Fiery to full back, Heads into the centres? Spark dropped. Not sure who for. Martyn or even a very risky call up for Yates? Hurricane will move to #8, I think. Cribb was also a bit disappointing. Bakkum to get some game time if that happens again, methinks. Tempted to consider Speirs' defensive abilities to be thrown into the mix. Front row worked well, 2nd row was okay
I'll play better next game once I'm paired with Hunt again. I've made my thoughts on the matter well known.
On a serious note, I'm pretty sick to death of my failure kicks in play. I put a decent amount of points into my in play kicking, neglecting goal kicking to do so and even had the kicking special ability. Yet now my place kicking seems better than my in play kicking.
I'd only really consider me if it was a wet game. Keep it tight early and them take me off for an attacking winger late on to chase points if need be. That said I thought I was a bit further down the pecking order than this.
You're a bit of a weird one in that you'll come up in selection discussions across all representative levels without really cementing spot at any of them. You could get picked for South one week without NSW needing your services the next and it wouldn't really be weird because you're a very unique, role specific player. Defensive wingers are as rare as hen's teeth in general. You're not as good a player as our other wing options but you may suit the side better.
