Too many handling errors when you got into decent positions and the QLDers played better than expected. Their shocking front row survived at the scrum mainly due to their considerably better back row, I suspect. The overall scrum ratings were probably fairly similar - it'd be on the one-on-one calcs that your front row should have screwed them, but scrum dominance didn't happen. I was expecting a 25+ blow-out.
That was just from the commentary; stats do show a different story a lot of the time. There's no way I would've picked you getting the same score as Benny for example. One thing we need to work on is our handling. Terrible.
3 line out steals is superb, but not 4 missed tackles as a lock forward. If you'd only missed a couple, I'd have given you 8.5.
Also, for the record, I'm slightly disappointed in Boland's performances. Not carry club form into Provincial stuff. Had him down as a potential pick for an "A" team Test.
Haha I was just looking through his actual stats to see what on earth he did to deserve an 8 then; I was lost for answers.
Yeah - don't know how I managed that. Seems to be the only error though. Burgey deserves a big shout out for his performance. 8 turnovers in a half of rugby. The guy is a machine at the breakdown.
Haha nah you were pretty good aside from that. All the props played half of a game this time around but I'll probably give Benny/Azzal less time next match and change it around a bit.
Qld lacks a solid second row and front row. Lack of quality depth also hurts us. We only scrape together to form a below par team. I'd love to get new players to sign up in key positions to avoid playing players out of position, hurting the performances of a few players.
