Cribbs was against the team that everyone raped Even though its a much better overall performance in terms of figures I reckon on its merits each have a fair chance of winning

Harding scoring a double ton against that bowling attack is pretty crazy. But a 347 with 6 wickets in a match where I, the mighty Dong, was only able to get a duck and 0 wickets? Cribb wins hands down imo.
I find these things too hard to vote on without having to do a lot of clicking on links and time-consuming research. Some stats in the OP would be nice.
But it's for a batting award, so the 5-for is besides the point. Harding got a double ton against pretty much the Test attack. Cribb got a triple against the same attack that let Ritchie get a 50.
Not to mention that, in terms of the match, the difference between a double and triple ton is usually very little. The Ravens won that game by an innings and 88 runs - how much difference would it have made if Cribb had gotten out for 250?

well if we're all tooting our own horn it's probably worth considering that I averaged ~9 more than chewie and scored 400 more runs in the BS season
