At present the number of registered players for each province are: Code: Britain - 28 New South Wales - 23 New Zealand - 19 Asia - 19 Victoria - 12 Queensland - 9 Which means that Britain and New South Wales can comfortably have a sides. Asia and New Zealand will each need a few more players. Victoria will need 7/8 more blokes and Queensland are miles off. I will wait and see how squads develop across the season and leave this until the end of the season before I decide exactly how it is going to run. My plan is to operate a Combined Provinces side if sides cannot make a complete squad. Some people were against this move last time I had suggested it however the top players at least will be at a disadvantage if they do not compete in this. If all other provinces can make full squads then I will have to ask any Queensland players to either select a province to represent until they can put together a squad or they can opt out if they want with the knowledge they may disadvantage themselves by doing so.
Victoria + Qld, gives them 17 players to choose from for there lineup. Or you can merge asia, Victoria and Qld and you could choose 2 teams out of the people they got to compete with other nations. So will this be starting this season?
Need about 3+ more for subs. atm i believe you got enough for a side to put on the field but fillers at subs.
I am not mixing 3 provinces and then splitting them into 2. If they get mixed they'll have one team. As I said I'll leave it until the end of the club season and see how the provincial squads line up then. List them? I definitely get 12 and my total squad numbers add to the right amount. Nope. You need about 7 more. You need 16 players for a matchday squad, but there could be injuries and suspensions during the competition so just 16 would be a risk. I may let you go alone with 16, but I may not.
Theo, get your brother to re-register. May not necessarily get a game, but he'd be good for a bench spot until we get more people.
Yeah, if you're going to do it like this, you should let all the provinces who can field sides do so, and just have a team called "Emerging Provinces" for those that can't. Eventually they should be able to break away, one by one. Merging Victoria and Queensland would be stupid as they don't even share a border, and forcing NSW to combine with another province despite having enough players would be unfair (and make me want to play for Britain).
NSW will be playing by themselves. The only chance of them having none NSWelshmen in their squad is if one province (most likely Queensland) can't make a squad but every other province can, then I'll allow them to represent other provinces until they can raise a team.
