    Actually, I'm proud of things much more substantive than what you are, I'd dare say. I'm proud of my charity to others because it's a conscious choice. It's a virtue. As is my atheism and repudiation of religion - I've spent half my life trying to understand it and reading voraciously about it. That to was a conscious choice and required work. How do you not see the difference between that and say, this...

    I donate $30 a month to the HRI (Heart Research Institute). And sporadic donations to different breast cancer foundations. I've also donated quite a bit of time and effort to my local footy clubs fund-raising.
