    True Detective season 1, despite the finale was better than any season of GoT but it needs to put in a few more seasons of quality. The top three were hard to put in order, I think maintaining such a ridiculously high quality over the first four seasons without any let ups is a mammoth achievement and I'd put The Wire at number one on a different day. No show comes close to realistically depicting complex human emotions and behaviour as The Sopranos - and that is on top of being so fucking funny and fast paced but Seinfeld's relentless, cynical and hilarious attack on the viewer is something I don't think can be replicated.
