Geelong will continue the tradition of them winning in odd years IMO. 07, 09, 11, 13. A Hawthorn v Geelong Grand Final would be epic.
I hope Freo win it, I really do. I think it'll be the Hawks though, Sydney a close second. I don't know what it is that's causing Sydney to not be as good this year, either. They've got the same squad as last year and there really aren't any areas where they're weaker; and they're stronger in a good few.
Our injury run has been pretty wretched tbf. Johnson's missed the whole season, LRT and Shaw have missed much of it, Mattner pulled the plug mid-season and Jetta, Goodes and Reid has missed quite a bit of footy. Last year I think only Rohan missed much of the season. I think also we're trying to play a little bit easier against the weaker sides, to attempt to peak against the big guns, and our draw hasn't been easy. That's just my vibe, but there could be other reasons.
I think it'll end up being a Geelong/Hawthorn Grand Final and then I just hope we get up. Logic says we should, law of averages says we shouldn't, heart says should, head says it'll be tough. Would be an amazing Grand Final, and if it happens I'll be a nervous wreck. Losing it would be unbearable, so I'm torn as to whether I want it to happen or not.
Shouldn't it be the other way around? Geelong have won the past 11 against Hawthorn so you'd think by law of averages you'd pick them, while logically you don't believe in curses and would tip Hawthorn as they have had a better season and are probably the better team.
Logic says we've defeated them 11 times in a row and we're 9-1 against top 8 teams this year (also 5-0 against top 4 teams). Also, I said law of averages says we shouldn't get up, so yeah
