Who Wins Game III with NSW's two most experienced players out?

  1. NSW

    23.1%
  2. QLD

    76.9%
  1. Magic AJ Parker

I'd say start a fight to get some players sent off but the current QLD side take their punches like good little bitches and never fight back :p

    You're an idiot

They have to do something, they won't win playing football. Clean up Smith with a cheap shot, then start mouthing off to Hodges about how much his dead mum likes the cock.

Maybe one of the better looking blues can stick one in Thurston's girlfriend? Think outside the square blues!

Only chance they have of winning is if their forwards are excessively aggressive all match and they get a few luck tries from bombs etc. or just rolling up the middle. Woods isn't really that aggressive so I'd rather Grant.. I think. McManus is going to ruin alot of opportunity for their sets to start off with any aggression, even a random big cunt like Tupou would've been so much better.

So Because Gallen made 6 extra m than Woods he was vastly better? QLD were so dominant that it was always going to be a hiding to nothing even when we started getting a chance to enter the game. Woods was substituted at the correct time so that they could try and get some fresh running forwards on field to make metres e.g Fifita.

I just watched Woods very closley because he's one of my favourites and the cunt did his job admirably - made his tackles, kept up with the quick linespeed I felt and if he gets gametime in game situations where our side isn't on the backfoot he'll show he belongs in the top level I believe.

Woods doesn't seem to have the typical NSW thuggery to make it as a NSW player.

Excellent. This issue too important to be neglected; it must go mainstream.

I don't see how anyone could read what I wrote and infer that. 3m extra per run is not a minor disparity.

You keep saying that, but as I keep saying - Gallen managed to get forward despite doing the same amount of work in defence, having the same lack of field position and so on.

He didn't do a particularly good job getting forward either despite the usual media praise because of one decent run.

I don't doubt he can do a lot better. It's not like I wanted the cunt dropped or anything.

that simple stat doesn't take into account the different opportunity presented to both players with their two hitups etc, when you have two players having taken around 10 or more charges each in the same game then sure I'd agree that m per run is a valid stat but there's so little data to work with so it's easily not accurate.

I fwiw too, am not claiming that Woods was great, I just think he did a sufficient job in his first origin away from home, and should be given a few cracks to show what he's got because he's the best young prop we have IMO, other than Tamou but he's a cuple of years his junior so it evens out. Woods at 21 >> Tamou at 21 afaic.

Doesn't bode well though does it...QLD's forwards underwent a similar onslaught in Game 1. Scott, like Gallen, handled it like a true Origin forward and managed nearly 10m per run. And Shillington, like Woods, handled it as Josh Perry would've.

I didn't say Woods is a Josh Perry type player. I said it was a Josh Perry type performance. And as I said, I defended Woods after the game saying that Fifita came on fresh after the fast opening and still couldn't get forward. Neither of them could. Gallen and Merrin managed fine though.

She just had a kid so I doubt she'd be too keen on that.

NSW have blown out to $2.70.

A quote from Billy Moore which IMO could be quite prescient: "They have lost their Pied Piper. The Blues will automatically be down on confidence to start the game and if they give up an early lead, they won't come back."

Game II was the first time in 5 matches in which NSW didn't score first. And they really looked bad playing from behind, even after half time. In fact they haven't looked good after half time in either game. It's 14 all as far as first halves go but it' 18-6 QLD for second halves. You'd think based on that and the history over the last 7 years, NSW would probably need to be leading at HT in Game III.
