Agreed about Maxwell. Coote deserves City a city call up. Even better that it is during the bye that he will play. I am writing an analysis on Penrith's version of events atm will post it here soon.

I hope those mistakes aren't a sign that he is bad at handling the grubber close to the line, because I haven't seen him having to deal with lots before.

I have seen him take them clearly at other times. Not a reason to be concerned IMO.

Here is my analysis, for another forum so some parts aren't directed here. Mainly the point on Wade Graham.

Well you can't win them all. I have a few negative things to say but I certainly won't be losing sleep over this loss. I think the first thing I need to say is that the way we defended was good but the slowness in the ruck was poor. Having said that I think that the refs were a little too harsh for my liking. I am certainly not blaming the refs but I just see that perhaps there were a few calls that could of/should of went our way.
The second negative I have to mention is the poorness of Masada Iosefa. When he first came on I was excited as I saw the spark really fast but as soon as we went to defence my opinion changed on him quickly. He gave away far too many penalties and for about 10 minutes I was annoyed that he was still on the field. He was doing alright in attack just not defence. It is definitely no surprise that as soon as Kingston made it onto the field again the team made their mini comeback and they had a chance to come back but probably made a critical error mainly at Walsh that he didn't bomb it.
The next point isn't so much a negative but nor is it a positive. It was great to see Wade Graham back in the Panthers colours but I am pretty sure tonight's performance should shut down any claims that he should be playing in the backrow because that is where he pretty much played tonight and I am pretty sure he didn't impress. It was probably hard for him to return and play in the backrow especially seeing as Burns was still on the field. I think that if I was Matty Elliot I would of kept Waterhouse on and put Graham in for Burns.
Michael Jennings, well I think that he needs to forget about any representative honours he might get by Sunday night and get his knee surgery done so he is back by the time it reaches Round 11. I personally want to be able to watch him play when he is at full fitness in Round 13. While he still has his speed I don't see the need in not getting his surgery done now. There is every chance he will get a shot at Origin game 2 if he gets it done.
    Now to some positives.
Obviously the second half fade out wasn't good but the comeback that the boys produced was impressive and should be acknowledged. Something sparked them with 15 minutes to go and whatever it was good. Luke Walsh finally come back and had a hand in those tries.
Lachlan Coote, now he certainly does deserve any rep honours he gets provided we give him a contract extension soon before his value goes up. His hat trick of tries were impressive and I am sure there will be an article about Coote coming out of no where to take the try scorers lead. Not only has he scored some vital tries but his general fullback play has been extremely impressive. Was unlucky to hit the ball into touch with 3 minutes to go but the ball won't always bounce your way.
Tim Grant went MIA during this game. I don't care what anyone says. Even in the first half, he made an error in the Titans half and after that he disappeared... and no he wasn't subbed off. However he did seem to get back to some of his form in the last 25 minutes even when the team was down in spirits. Would be happy for him to get a city call-up but could understand if he didn't get one.
Lastly Luke Walsh, he kept doing the normal parts of his game correct as well as adding another dimension to it by running the ball. He really demonstrated what he was capable of at times continually doing the little things right including his inside balls. His kicking game was good but I thought he got a little confused at times as when he should run it and when he should kick it. He seemed to hold onto that ball a little too long putting pressure on himself. Overall though another solid performance from him.

Even though we lost I am still proud of the boys. We may have lost two points here but at least we get another two points next week regardless and probably another two after that just because it is the Sharks . Well a bye coming up and Penrith will be missing from the competition for one week but at least we know we will have 4-7 players playing next Friday Night. Up the Pennies!

It's not good to see Graham back at all, I hope he gets re-injured ASAP so we can continue to be a chance at winning games.

    Horrible paragraph structure.

    :ninja:

He played in the trials and played really well. He had the edge on Burns actually. As I said he was playing in the backrow. You noticed that didn't you?

Yeah I know. I just didn't press enter an extra time where I needed to thats all. cbf to go back and change it.

  8. Flack SA Flack

burns >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Graham in every single way ever. Anyone can look good in a trial, anyway.

Graham is a spoilt selfish ****, who doesn't give a shit about the team, just himself.

  9. Hughesy JM Hughes

atm Burns is greater than Graham. However, I disagree with your last sentence. Graham does give a shit. What made you come to that conclusion?

  10. League Lover L Lover

The fact that when he wasn't playing first grade last season he was requesting a move to Melbroune?

  11. Bender BG Herd

**** scott prince is gun ftr.

    Meyers too.

Then when he got a game on the bench, Sammut scores (Sammut being the one keeping him out of the team), and the camera shows the benchs reaction... 3 players cheering and clapping Graham sitting down looking pissed.

  13. Bender BG Herd

I'd be pissed ifi was benched for sammut too.

  14. Incey BC Jacobs

If Sammut was keeping me out of the starting lineup, id be pissed too.

EDIT: Or what Bender said. >_>

You'd still want your team to go well I hope... Even when ****heads I don't like play (Sammut, Graham etc) I still want us to win.

But they still manage to grind out wins. I don't know if their opposition not playing their best, luck, or if the Tits use voodoo magic demoralise their the other players. But hey, if they're winning when they're playing shite, imagine what they can do when they're playing good. :p

  17. Flack SA Flack

The teams they play are never playing great really. It's a combo of luck and other teams playing a bit below their normal.

  18. Hughesy JM Hughes

That was the papers talking up shit. I actually talked to Graham about that.

  19. Lukic L Popovic

First good team Penrith come up against during their good run without Fitzhenry at halfback and they lose. Was inevitable :ninja:

But is that more the fact that the Tits don't allow other teams to play well? There's got to be a connection.
