Bird's had a pretty good season at 6 so far. He's got the potential too, had a epic bomb early on that created the position that we scored from. But tried to do too much as the game wore on, and ended up doing nothing right. Limping off injured really summarized his night perfectly. A shocker
80 minutes? I was saying all of this in 2008. I've been saying it his entire career - He can't ball play and he's much better as a forward. His kicking in game in the 08 Origin series was some of the worst you will ever see.
Fair enough. We must be watching different players. His first half of the season, even when playing as a forward, was riddled with handling and passing errors due to trying to ball play, when he is obviously better suited to ball running.
