Lou Goodwin ended up winning, was never in doubt from the moment he entered.

Raiders picked him up which is a bit of a shame given the backrowers who are ahead of him. Very similar to Boyd Cordner in a lot of aspects though and I reckon hed be able to cover lock if required so hopefully gets some game during origin/injuries.

He's absolutely no chance if we're being honest. This question was asked of and answered by a representative of the Raiders before the final episode:

Lou Goodwin was already signed to the Mounties which are Canberra's lower grade feeder team. Since an injury last season he's only played Ron Massey Cup which is essentially 3rd grade. So what Canberra have picked up is essentially a 'free' reserve grade player who can be called upon in the case of an absolute emergency. In said emergency I'd imagine the club would still go for just about any other option just due to the cost of it against the cap. Luke Bateman is expected to re-sign shortly meaning Goodwin is behind Papalii, Whitehead, Soliola, Bateman, Fensom, Kennedy, Williams and Sorenson (maybe) as backrow options.

Still not a bad concept, gives them a bit of exposure and certainly doesn't harm the winners chances of making it. There's examples of similar things working out well for player, if I'm remembering right Steve Matai started his career training with Manly's squad for free because they said they didn't want to sign him?
