    Never understood why some clubs don't lock up their top youngsters before letting them debut.

    Leads to things like Jacob Loko being under the salary cap for 450k next year.

    Believe it or not, his mum didn't let him play opens rugby for Newington when he was 16. He absolutely dominated the U/16s comp by all reports and the next two years played Australian Schoolboys. Lots of influential rugby union people were fuming he chose league, but you can't deny that the dividends are already paying off. Good luck to him, an absolute beast for a 18 year old.

    He actually had a really, really terrible game aside from that try today too. I think I'm in the "I expect him to be really good but he probably shouldn't be playing first grade yet" camp.
