I'd disagree with that. He was poor a few weeks back but was showing good form earlier in the season. In form and he shits on Franklin.
I think wheeler is in the top 6 locks in the country BBBR Whitelock Daylight Blade Thomson Fifita (spelling? I have no idea) wheeler Bird
Fuck yes!!!!!! Won all my bets too. Canes win, Landers +7.5 and over 44.5!!! That game is huge for us.
Yep definitely had a right to feel weary about that Tahs v Chiefs game. Didn't even touch it betting wise. Chiefs have had it imo.
Also where's Fiery at. These results for the Chiefs are exactly what I predicted....injuries always hurt teams in the back end of the season and that's what's happening here. Especially considering the massive list. Chiefs got lucky a few times but there was no way that was going to last. They'll be in the play offs but I can't see them beating both the Saders and Landers. Which will probably cost them top spot.
Upset I lost my bets but happy the canes won. I was at the game. Seeing the physical stature of the players is immense. Ben smith is amazing probably wellingtons centres did enough to nullify otagos wellington kicking often and early set up the running game
Proctor was huge. Really starting to grasp that centre role. Laumape proving why he should start when he came on, I have no idea why they still persist with Aso. Proctor's defensive effort and attack was huge for us. Actually our defence all night was pretty good. Lineout needs some work though, definitely nearly cost us a win. I'm glad we were patient at the end there. No Hurricanes team of old (minus last year) would have been able to hold onto the pill for 17 phases. Jane had his best game all year, Ardie was his typical good self - if he isn't an AB I'll rage. Shields was a force at the breakdown as well. Basically a whole team performance in that one. The conditions favoured the Landers too.
Come back Fiery we miss you champ. Good points Rego...And Brad needed a performance like that...he needs to play like a big man, and he often plays like he is conserving his energy.
Yeah a lot of games he goes missing a bit, a bit of a shame because when he came on the scene I talked him up big time, if he always played like last night he'd have already been an AB. Our forwards won us that game, my points before the game were basically the forward pack that won was going to win the game - both teams had the backs to finish off. Shields absolutely outplayed Dixon, which I'm sure the AB selectors took note of. Savea was better than Pryor and Squire should have started over Whitelock. Something I've notcied is Fekitoa has looked pretty average this year, pretty ineffective but I guess the same can be said of Julian Savea.
A slump following a breakthrough year is normal. People study video of you to nullify you. I was expecting NMS to come down to earth this year as 80% of the time even I have noticed he jinks to the left. One of the reasons why Billy Slater is such a legend in the NRL is that he performed year in and year out for about 7-8 years in a row. "I just kept learning and kept watching other guys and adding to my rerpertoire". (This is not an invitation to discuss league to any lurkers in this thread) I don't think Fekitoa has been trying to grow except from a ball distribution perspective. Perhaps he would have grown more on a team that emphasises defence less at practice. Being at the game it was observable that even in warm ups that Otago spends a lot of energy of defence.
Yep I wondered that about NMS too, same thing happened with Andre Taylor. Thing is you'd expect a bit more from Fekitoa because he's not just a flashy player. Even his awareness has been off.
I jumped on the Saders -4.5 before game and Saders to win during HT (paying $1.50) so was lucky. Blues always step up at home and against NZ teams.
Hit the Brumbies up -27 which won easily. Gonna be another good winning weekend. Can't wait until this Bulls v Lions.
