I have a lot more faith in Ritchie than Dan. Would be happy enough with Ritchie starting but like the idea of subbing some time in the second half. Or bringing him on or something... that'll get the best out of him imo. I guess of he starts he can captain and they can let the next cab off the rank get some valid xp in pressure situations. I'd be using Dan as a kicking and first five coach for the next generation.
Pretty much a full strength 15 for the Canes with the exception of Barrett still being out. Hopefully Perenara and Marshall combine well. This is going to be an amazing match.
The Chiefs always seem to perform better against other Kiwi sides though, that match is a headache for me to call on history. But on current form you just have to favour the Canes.
History shows you nothing, we've absolutely blitzed the Chiefs and then lost to them. Yeah that and home advantage - I would expect a crowd of 20k+ for this one. I'd go down but have a mate visiting from Canada, will have to wait till playoffs - or shoot over to New Plymouth.
I now live a good 2 hours 10 mins from Welly and he's visiting us all (flat mates/ mates) and he hates ruggers as do the others.
Good game. Brad Weber is the 2nd best half back in the country. And based on my preferences for how a half back should play is the better than Aaron Smith.
Some of the worst refereeing I have seen in rugby tonight. I don't know how Glen Jackson is going to the Rugby World Cup. I just think they wanted to promote an ex-player.
Assuming this is about the Waratahs v Sharks game, I'm glad it's not just me who was baffled at times by the officiating. Super Rugby is just soooo good though.
Imo there's no way he should have reffed a game of that nature. He should never ref Chiefs games, he use to play for them ffs.
So many Chiefs' fans are bitching but logically they're oblivious to the many decisions that didn't go the Canes' way either. 2 disallowed tries, a forward pass on the awarded Chiefs try, Chiefs line being offside pretty much the whole night, Messam should have been carded.....I could go on. Terrible reffing and TMO both ways.

Gee, if that's the case I'll have to check him out. I haven't watched Super 15 for a long time now. Aaron Smith's the best halfback I've seen play for the Allblacks. His passing is second to none. The only real complaint I have with his game is his aimless box-kicking. It's supposed to be used to catch the opposition defence unaware, but you can't surprise them if you're using it all of the time.
Aaron Smith has way more miles under his belt than Weber. So yeah I am not disputing that Smith is our number 1. I just prefer Weber stylistically. Weber has some issues and probably doesn't kick enough, secondly he may not have the same ability to send out a 25 metre flat pass like Smith can. I actually have never seen anyone do that until Smith.
