    How's Joel Moon been going?

Been playing pretty good, but did jump ship to leeds so don't know if it counts lol

Best squad that the Exiles could come up with would be something like:

    1. Brett Kearney (Bradford)
    2. Michael Robertson (London)
    3. Joel Moon (Leeds)
    4. Dean Collis (Wakefield)
    5. Joel Monaghan (Warrington)
    6. Jarrod Sammut (Bradford)
    7. Michael Dobson (Hull KR)
    8. Justin Poore (Wakefield)
    9. Michael Monaghan (Warrington)
    10. Mickey Paea (Hull KR)
    11. Iosia Soliola (St Helens)
    12. Anthony Laffranchi (St Helens)
    13. Hep Cahill (Widnes)

    14. Lance Hohaia (St Helens)
    15. Willie Manu (St Helens)
    16. Tony Puletua (St Helens)
    17. Cory Paterson (Wakefield)

    Pretty shitty team on paper.

Half of them haven't even been picked though lol

  6. Mariner CL Warrington

    Brett Hodgson ftw.

  7. cloughie09 TJ Clough

Brett kearney has robbed of his spot because of hodgson imo

  8. Jazz NC Smith

Personally I don't think Kearney is very good but Hodgson is worse. Hodgson is there because the game is being played in Warrington and he is a big-name player. Both Kearney and Dorn are as deserving as him imo.

    Luke Dorn is gun.

Always rated Brett Kearney, left NRL far too early.

Is Jarrod Sammut dominating over there? He strikes me as the archetypical slightly underpar/too small half in the NRL who would carve with the extra time/space in the Super League.

  13. Jazz NC Smith

    Gareth Ellis is back.

  14. Mariner CL Warrington

Gargh, poor defense from Leeds there.

I don't think ring-fencing the SL has made it a stronger comp (in fact, although there are other factors at play, it's considerably weaker now than it was back when there was promotion and relegation), so can't really see any argument to maintain the status quo.

The one thing I couldn't help thinking reading the comments on the article is how franchising just doesn't work for some reason in UK sports.

Franchise doesn't work because no one with actual money wants to be involved in all the 14 teams. Since promotion and relegation have been stopped more teams have lost money which say a lot. The RFL need to pull there fingers out and not worry about the league structures but worry about why SL doesn't have a sponser

He has had a good start to the season, playing really well with Brett Kearney, and coming on leaps and bounds since he first came over

    Challenge Cup quarters:

    Warrington V Huddersfield
    Wigan V Widnes
    Catalan Dragons V Hull FC
    Sheffield Eagles V London Broncos

Should get at least a couple of decent games there.
