Exactly. And they're not a good enough team. And one of the reasons is that they can't win consistently away from home.

    FMD.

Please don't put words in my mouth. It's hard enough trying to argue your bullshit without you inventing shit out of thin air.

Melbourne have been hit badly by injury and Origin recently. Over the course of the season they've clearly been the best team.

Melbourne don't have deficiencies like the Cowboys do. If you think otherwise, you mustn't be watching them.

You've said before in other threads that you think Melbourne are by far the best team.. and then you just confirmed that one sentence later anyways after having a cry about me putting words in your mouth? God you have problems...

    Yes they do.

Me saying Melbourne are the best team does not mean I think they're the only team who can win the comp.

    Fuck you're a retard.

    Okay then, muppet.

  5. Toolman TR Man

Haha okay who else would you pick then?

I think that it's ridiculous to say that the Cows can't win the comp this year. They've got enough Origin players and big game players now that I really don't think that playing in Sydney is such an issue.

The next two weeks will make or break the Cows' season. Wests at home then the Dogs away. Win both and we'll be in the top 4 and will have shown a lot against top 8 opposition.

Lol, you're right it shouldn't be an issue...but it just is. They had all those big game Origin players, apart from Tamou who debuted this year, in 2011. Their defence just isn't good enough to win consecutively big games against high quality opposition. They're only chance of winning the comp is if Melbourne and Canterbury and Manly and Brisbane and Cronulla and even Souths and Wests suddenly drop off because I really cant see them going down to Sydney, and Melbourne and Brisbane and knocking down three of them in a row.

Would anyone like to bet that the Cowboys won't win the comp? I'll give you 10 to 1 odds.

To fall for it guys, bookies are offering 15-20/1

I don't disagree on your view that they likely won't win the comp MF. I do think that is different to saying they can't win it, in the position they're currently sitting anything can happen in this comp. If they simply start showing the same energy and commitment in defence week in and week out there is no reason why they can't at least be considered a threat. Bit of a cliché I suppose but Id rather just take it one game at a time anyway. Hoping they build momentum from this win. I really hope they beat the Tigers. So sick of losing to them.

Fine. 20 to 1. Makes no difference to me.

I don't mean they can't win it as in it's a mathematically impossibility. I just think it's so extremely unlikely.

    Fair enough.
