Here we are for game 2 of the semi final series. This one from the Georgia Dome, home of the Falcons, with the Falcons leading 1 - 0 on the series. The Seahawks must win here to take the series to a decider.

The Falcons make no changes from game 1, but the Seahawks have brought in Rego Hutchinson in place of Luka Popovic in hopes of putting away some goals.

End of 1st Period:

A brilliant start for the Falcons, they've taken the lead early in the period and stunned the Seahawks. The Seahawks managed to regroup somewhat but you could see the frustration in them and late in the period Borisc once again got into fight, but this time Blunder put him in his place.

The Seahawks are under huge pressure now, their season is over if they can't get this one back.

 

End of 2nd Period:

No change in the scores here, as the Seahawks try desperately to get back in this one and save their season. There's been a fair bit of hitting by them this period, but on attack their shots have been a bit wild and it's not working out yet.

 

End of 3rd Period:

Falcons 5, Seahawks 0

Goals: James (1, 1 PPG), Manera (2, 1 PPG)
Assists: N/A

That wraps this series up for the Falcons. They've run away with it in the 3rd, after an early PPG to Manera the Seahawks completely crumbled as they realised their season was over. Manera scored again about 5 minutes later, and then again within a minute. James scored yet another late in the period to rub salt in the wound while Seahawks captain Hughes was in the box.

The Grand Final is now set with the Mighty Sharks taking on the Falcons, a GF many would have predicted mid-season. For the Seahawks it's a bad day be they'll be happy to have made it this far when they look back on it in the future, it was a good effort.
