First game of round 10 is the first of 3 crucial games. The Hurricanes need a win here and results to go their way to make the top 3, and a finals spot. The Sharks have already wrapped up the minor premiership, but some of these players want to prove their skills and get a spot in the grand final team for the Sharks.

 

Personally had enough of seeing shootouts.

 

It's just they're not THAT common in real life, so it just felt kinda gay in that sense, if they're just one every few rounds, maybe like 2/3 a season I could be happy with that.

The Sharks off to a good start here, the Hurricanes struggled to hold them out early on and the Sharks put one home. It's a long road to the finals from here for the Ice Hurricanes.

 

End of Period 2:

Ice Hurricanes 1, Mighty Sharks 2

Goals: Hall (2), Verigotta (1)
Assists: Humble (1), Izett (1)

A fight early in the 2nd period in which Golding belted Darts really set the mentality of the Hurricanes for the rest of the period, they were fired up and scored an equaliser mid way through. Unfortunately for them the Mighty Sharks hit back late in the period with Hall scoring with an assist from Izett.

 

End of Period 3:

Ice Hurricanes 1, Mighty Sharks 2

Goals: Hall (2), Verigotta (1)
Assists: Humble (1), Izett (1)

No score in the final period, the Sharks dug in defensively and refused to let the Hurricanes get the equaliser. Unfortunately for the Hurricanes that means it's the end of the season.

 

Solid win.
