Semi-Live Grand Final 1: Mighty Sharks Vs. Falcons @ Jaws Memorial Stadium

Still nothing here. Much the same as the 3r period, there were some half chances but no one was able to bet the keepers even with those chances. It's yet another shootout in IHS. The first GF game will be sorted in the harshest possible way, but somoene has to iwn.

 

First shots:

Bakkum will have the first shot, and will be looking to get the Mighty Sharks off to the right start. He shoots to the corner and....


... It's good! Mighty Sharks go up 1 - 0.



James skates out for the Falcons to give a reply. He doesn't go fancy, he lines up a shot and hammers it. Morris reachs with the stick....


...But can't get there in time, it's in. A nice powerful and accurate shot from James.

Second shots:

C Laing out on the ice now for the Sharks. He copies Bakkum and goes low to the corner, Chung trying to get to it with his foot.....


...Can't make it, goal! 2 - 1


Herd, Centre of the season, out on the ice now you'd expect him to put it away. He follows Jamess example, Morris reaching with the stick once again....

...to no avail, Herd scores just like James and we're still even here.

Third shots:

Simon Laing on the ice for the Sharks. Surely the leading scorer of the season can put one more in the back of the net. He fakes once, and shoots to Chung's stick side.....


... It's in, Laing puts yet another puck past a keeper this season. 3 - 2


Manera out for the Falcons now, the pressure is starting to really build for both teams. He fakes once, twice and goes for a low corner. Morris tries to get to it with his pads.....


.... He does! SAVED! Manera can't believe it. The Falcons heads drop as they fall behind.

Fourth shots:

Into the defenders now as Dafter comes out for his shot. If he scores here the Falcons will be under immense pressure. He doesn't do anything fancy just shoots and hopes......


...But it goes in! Chung's glove is beaten for the firs time tonight. 4 - 2




Dempsey out now, and he knows he must score to keep the Falcons in this. A miss means the Mighty Sharks win the first game of the series.

He follows Dafter's route of nothing fancy and hopes it goes in. It's going towards Morris' glove.......



....SAVED!!! SHARKS WIN! 4 -2 in a shootout, and the Sharks have the 1 - 0 lead in the series after an insanely tight game. They'll be hard to catch now.
