Nah. there were three NZ chaser gunning for Tomkins. He did the right thing. It should not have been penalised. Widdop doesn't have to get out of Locke's way. As long as he doesn't deviate his line, it's fine.

Yes you can. Happens all the time. Read the rules. You hold your line, even if it's on collision course with another player, it's legal. It is not Widdop's job to stay out of anyone's way once he picks a line. Of course he did it deliberately. And it's legal to do so. If he deviates or pushes or grabs, then it's illegal.
