    Lame. :p

    Jason Denton
    Second Row
Undoubtedly one of the better locks in the tournament, and his combination with Heef Davis in Season 2 was one to be feared. This guy is possibly one of the best scrummagers in Seasonal Rugby, and his line-out skills are not too shabby either. He has had a strong pack around him at the Spartans, and even more so for the Seasonal Rugby First XV, but can he take his star performances onto the tour?

He'll be one of the three second rowers on tour, and he'll come against top opponents from some of the top teams in the world. Eds says he'll be used on the crash ball to intimidate the opponent's tight defense and cause havoc at opposition set pieces.

  3. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

Good choice. Would have him in the 8 forwards on the day too.

    Bobby Blunder
    Full Back/Centre
The form player of Seasonal Rugby, in Season 2, Bobby Blunder has set the world alight with his ridiculously large tackles and his barnstorming runs. When asked what role Blunder would play in the team, Eds had this to say: "He'll play. Where? I do not know, but he will certainly play."

This speaks huge amounts of Blunder's ability not only at full back, but also having the versatility that few possess, to be able to slot in very easily at #12. Blunder is expected to have a huge battle with New Zealand centre Ma'a Nonu when the two will meet later on.

What order are these being announced in?

  6. Eds E Ames

    Forward-Back-Forward-Back-Forward etc.

  7. Luffers JRE Luffman

Doesn't mentioning Nonu kind of give away where he's playing! :p

  8. Eds E Ames

    Benny Read
    Prop
Benny Read, what can we say? He is a specalist loosehead prop with the deadly ability to burst onto the crash ball and decimate defenses. He's also ridiculously strong, and he's been known to dominate opposition scrums.

He is very likely to be starting, Eds has said, and will face little competition from anyone else in the squad, in terms of all-round prop skills. He is to join up with the Hurricanes next season after a solid season with the Vikings. Can he carry his good form into the tour though? We think he can.

I've only decided that you're playing 12 against NZ and Wales (if we play them). Not decided on the rest.

  10. Eds E Ames

    Adam Vago
    Centre
The top try scorer of Seasonal Rugby's first ever season has made his way into the Seasonal Rugby World Tour Squad. Having singlehandedly led the Vikings to victory many a time, he was always set for a place in the squad. But can he still shine with such quality around him?

Despite not training as regularly as the other players, he has kept up fitness and quality and has been playing very well in Season 2. He had a bit of a dip in form but we can only hope he is back to himself for the tour.

    Ben Manera
    Flanker
With comparisons being drawn between himself and the great Richie McCaw, Ben Manera has taken Seasonal Rugby by storm, with a huge run up the Forwards Rankings and being a huge part of the brilliant Vikings team. He's been the unsung hero for them and he is expected to do the same for the SR XV.

Rumour has it that he'll start at 7 but Eds is yet to confirm or deny this. He's got the edge on his other flanker contenders due to the fact that he can win the ball in a second, with minimum effort and maximum certainty. Big things are expected for the Vikings President on tour.

    Keep 'em coming.

  15. Escath LE Schaw

    Needs more NZers.

  16. Eds E Ames

    Jake Luffman
    Halfback
Oh god, yet another Spartan. But seriously, Luffman has certainly forced his way into the side with his performances at either 9 or 10 for the Spartans in both Seasons 1 and 2. Many have seen him as overshadowed by Ames, but there are the select few who really followed his performance and admire him as a world class 10; what he is.

Selector Eds has said Luffers has a decent chance of playing but will need to be in tip top condition and needs to clamp down on drug use. When this news was leaked to selector Eds he said he wasn't happy but he'll choose to ignore it. We'd guess that Luffman could well play 9 or bench it, but Eds has decided not to comment on this.
