This will be a massive game for the season as a whole as the top 2 meet just before the halfway mark. A Warriors win would see them move 5 points clear of the Tigers in 2nd, it would be hard to see them not at very least making the finals from there. A draw would leave it open for a more open 2nd half to the season, especially if the Bandits beat the Foxes in the other game. A Tigers win would see them go into halfway in pole position and leave the top 2 with a gap of at least 3 points to the chasing pack, if the Bandits lose it would be a gap of 5 points and that would leave the pack with only an outside chance of catching them. The Tigers have been without a doubt the surprise packet this season. At the start of the season they'd have been predicted to be fighting down at the bottom of the league. However, they've shocked many and remain undefeated so far. They've been fairly solid in defense, that'll have been helped by the development of MJ_Deane (who last season for the Cyclones was struggling in the reserves) and CL_Warrington in goal (who has made an average of 8 saves per match), and have been able to find goals from around the park. The signing of K_Fung could be massive for their title push, as he should add something at the top end of the park they've probably missed, and if S_Das can find the form he is capable of they could be very dangerous. The Warriors have taken the league by storm so far, as was pretty much expected of them. However, they'll need to ward off complacency for this match. The big question of the Warriors is probably just how good their defense is and whether it can truly cope with only 3 at the back. They appear to have stars all over the park, but no one has really got at them yet. The most daunting thing about the Warriors for other sides has to be that not only is their starting line-up full of stars, but their bench and reserve players would probably walk into most starting line-ups around the league. The Warriors have failed in big games in the past, so they'll have to not let the hype get to them too much.
Tigers to be a surprise packet and go into the second half of the season the leaders. We work as a team, unlike a team of stars.
I'll start off with 5 minute updates. If there isn't much interest in the game I'll change back to 10 minute updates.
