But yeah running with Zac smith was never a good idea. Very overrated player IMO

Yeah sample size an issue. He's a better tap ruck, better forward and a smarter footballer and better mark. Smith just excels at ground level and athletically which is why he's so overrated

Nicholls and Martin your best bets IMO. Next tier is bellchambers/Kreuzer or Pyke/warnock or griffin/Hickey which IMO aren't worth it

Lycett IMO is better than smith but depends how important he is forward. Dawson Simpson probably suits you well too in that he'd provide silver service to the elite mids, you probably don't need the extra mid like some do.

 

I could send Brett Daniher which would allow Lycett to play ruck?

 

I'm still thinking. Hendo injured this week anyway so doubt you'd be keen. McGovern doing pretty bloody well down back of late kind of goes some way to helping me solve the issue though

For anyone lacking midfield class/tackling Tom Rockliff is on the table. Round 5 retention (=gun), prolific as fuck and a gun when forward.

Have too much grunt and inside/tackling pressure in my midfield so looking to cash in on a star I don't need given I've got Fyfe.

Miles also on the table for those who'd be keen.

 

Genuine class/ability through my small forward line, smooth/classy rebound off half back and another outside runner with speed and skills. Have MacRae and Ebert as my outside wingmen but neither are incredibly fast or great kicks.

player/s of that mold would probably fit the bill (to be fair there aren't many players in the comp I'd swap 1/1 for rocky - 10-20 maybe so it'd likely be a 2/2 or 3/3 to even it)

 

Hanley, Rich & Elliott all fit needs for me while Haynes is someone I really like.

Might be somethign among those blokes depending on who else you liked from me and all that.

I'm gonna play the market with rocky though - not expecting a star in return (though if i am taking a substandard player I'd want another upgrade too i.e. 2 x great for elite + something lesser kind of thing) so I'd think there might be a bit of interest from those looking to build their midfield without giving KPPs so I'll see what else is on the table but we might be able to get something done.

 

Yeah doesn't really do much for me. As much as I'd have wanted Martin he's a luxury (and his 4 week injury doesn't appeal to me). Cross wouldn't get a game in my side so it'd really be ruck depth, midfield depth and sidebottom (who doesn't have pace or great footskills, very similar to what i've got in ebert/macrae as that gut running accumulating outside mid not the quick skilled one) who doesn't fit the direct need.
