I'll be slightly disappointed if we do spoon again. I think Wilson coming has improved our bowling enough for a mid-table finish. But until I see the rest of our expected signings in maroon I won't be putting us any higher.
Yeah the Pumas bowling looks like it will be too weak to finish in the top half IMO. It still looks very reliant on Hunt and Flack.
Thinking about it in depth though, our bowling's way too weak to finish 3rd regardless of our batting. Having said that, 3rd-8th is pretty close.
I'm gonna put it out there... Vipers won't win the comp next season. Every season there is an unbackable favourite and they never win. Vipers to finish 3rd.
There aren't really many challengers to the Vipers, tbph. Cyclones - lol. Pumas - need bowlers other than Hunt. When Flack's your 2nd best bowler, you have some problems. Crusaders - Wilson's a big in, but it still looks fairly mediocre. Ravens - too unproven. Stingrays - too unbalanced. Stickies - ditto. Gamblers - not enough bowlers. Allstars - the most likely one, but even then only Davis and Funky are good bowlers.
