Sooooo, posts from the Rugby League sub-forum being added is going to stop team discussion? Come on Lordeman, you're not that dense.
Then whats your argument here? I thought you were backing up what Alec said that it would decrease activity in threads in the RLSim forum.
I just felt like taking a shot at the Hawks, tbh. However, I don't really see the need to introduce the RL section into the post counts, for the reasons RyanG mentioned. The RLsim post count was introduced to encourage activity, something that isn't really necessary for the RL section.
I don't see any negatives towards it though. It's not taking anything away from RLSim. It's just joining two interests. The RLSim post count hasn't encouraged activity, it's encouraged +1 posts in all the match threads. If you introduce this, you'll weed out the majority of those +1 posts, and you'll increase the activity in the Rugby League sub-forum. It's really a no-brainer.
That will only reward a few people who don't really care about the simulator. I don't support it becaue if it happened I would probably rocket it down the post ranks. That wouldn't really be fair on me when I care about this more then most people.
Besides, it'll probably just increase the number of +1 posts in the RL section instead. Which (no offence to RlSim ) is definitely more important.
I don't agree, because you'd get people who had virtually no interest in RLSim but who posted a lot about league suddenly being gun.
How about the people that have registered for RL Sim posts counts can only get higher if they post in the League Section, but I don't know if some of these guys that don't care about the sim are registered players.
Interesting notion. I don't like it because it gives an advantage to league fans who don't care about the sim (and vice versa), but it could work.
