Omg this is going to be awesome - so many game modes rugby games have lacked.

All Blacks Rugby Challenge 3 has been announced, but New Zealand developer Sidhe – which created the first two in the series – isn’t at the helm.
Instead, Melbourne-based Wicked Witch Software (the AFL Live series) is developing the game, which is expected to release in the last quarter of this year on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC.
There are a number of new, noteworthy features: Rugby Challenge 3 will feature a Rugby Sevens mode, the South African Springboks and English rugby teams make their officially-licensed debut, and there’s a new player creation feature that allows players and teams to be shared online.
There’s also a new Be A Pro mode, where players join a club team as a rookie and work their way to the pros over 13 seasons.
More than 11 competitions will be available including Super Rugby, the ITM Cup, and the Currie Cup, and Grant Nisbett and Justin Marshall return to the commentary box.
“Rugby Challenge 3 builds on the success of previous games to take the franchise to a new level with the best of the best Rugby Unions.” said publisher Tru Blu managing director Sebastian Giompaolo.
“We are excited with the evolution of the new generation of consoles pushing graphics into a stunning new zone. The new consoles compliment Rugby Challenge 3 perfectly”.

This game is going to be awesome. Interested how be a pro will end out working out. I suspect a lot of people will be HB and first fives.

Sevens has always been something I reckoned could take a back seat but considering they have everything else I'm not complaining that it's there.

The ability to be able to share players and teams/ be able to customise/ create players is huge. Means unlicensed teams are not an issue. Fully licensed SA is awesome because Super 15 is fully licensed and as is the Currie Cup. That RWC 15 game that's being released by HB Studios has just been shit on. Especially because their last game was the worst rugby game ever.

Games without proper licences are so lame. Might pick it up if it's good.

There's a shit tonne of proper licenses tbh and the ones that aren't there can be shared online

Apparently the Fan Hub is up and running so people can start creating players?

Yep see above. Players/ teams can be shared to all platforms too!

    Just like Don Bradman, nice.

Licenses are so expensive, allowing people to create and share their own rosters is just as good really

Be a Pro mode with budget AI.

For this reason only I will buy!

This game will be woeful. Bet your house on it.

  15. Hunter AD Hunt

Will likely buy it purely for Be A Pro.

Is this the only current Rugby franchise atm?

You know RLL3 comes out like next month, and has be a pro mode.

  18. Mariner CL Warrington

Well no high hopes for this at all, especially the be a pro mode.

Be a Pro will be the shittiest mode. It's not 2K Sports here, the budget is Nandos vouchers. The AI in these games is embarassingly bad.

HB Studios has their franchise as well. They're releasing RWC 2015 but stay the fuck away from it. They released Rugby 15 not too long ago and it was the worst rugby game ever. Was a massive step back from RWC 2011 (which was pretty bad too). The Rugby Challenge series has the most going for it. RC2 was on the right track. Besides if these licenses are exclusives, the RWC game won't have England, ABs, SA or Aus......which is laugh worthy for a game of its nature.

    RC is light years ahead.
