to be fair. The ref was indeed woeful. And most decisions went our way.. BUT... bulldogs first try was due to a shit ref call. And numerous times they lay all over us. Im not saying we were hard done by, or even that the bulldogs had the refs on thier side. Yes we got a lot of calls our way but the same can be said for both teams. just a typical ref performance.
Oh please. Bulldogs first try did come off that bullshit penalty for a textbook league tackle. But more or less all your points came off piss poor penalties and incorrect calls against the Dogs. It would have been a totally different game if he didn't gift you the first half.
I work with one, he has running around today big smile on his face like the just took out the whole comp, makes it worse im a Broncos fan because he keeps saying to me "how does it feel to have the spoon" I keep reminding him that there has only been 4 rounds played but he isn't listening.
'oh please' our forwards ran riot all over the bulldogs without all those ref calls i still HIGHLY doubt the game result would have been that different. The bulldogs tried to compete with us up the middle and got dominated, meanwhile outwide Beau Champion and Colin Best stoped most of the bulldogs. Im not saying we are premiership certainties now but i am a LOT more happy with how the team is going.

Yeah this. We may have been given a few dud calls but for the most part we were just shit while South Sydney played some pretty good league. What pissed me of most about last nights perfromance (aside from the tackling) was the lack of intent with ball in hand, it's almost like we were content with not dropping the ball and getting up the field making minimal ground, reckon Barba should have come on earlier tbh.
i guess though the fear with Barba is that if you bring him on any earlier will he a) be up to playing extra minutes and keep his effectiveness, and b) will his shit defense be exploited.
He's played what, 30 minutes in each of the last two games and looked really good. I highly doubt an extra 10-20 minutes is going to tire him out or reduce his effectiveness. Personally I'd bring him on late in the first half and let him go from there, where he play's I'd have no idea though. You can't pick Ben Roberts and only play him for 20-30 minutes (even though Barba's looked better then Roberts this season IMO) His defense has improved from what I've seen anyway, it's come a long way since 2008 anyway.
And bench Ennis right? Seriously though, it would probably kill him. His defense has improved but he wouldn't last.
