Yeah, definitely the right call. Just weird to see a video ref make a judge on a forward pass. Not sure if I've ever seen that situation before. Bulldogs fans absolutely raged after the decision thinking the video ref was the one who called it forward
Given a forward pass is to be judged by how it comes out of the hand a touch by the Eels after that point should've been irrelevant. The ball definitely went forward but I'm not convinced that it didn't come backwards out of the hand tbph. The whole thing was a shambles. Checcin had no right to refer it.
