Yeah but the hammers and newcastle are a bit different, the toons were playing european football not all that long ago, the hammers were always just mid-table at least recently
ok i'd like it to show it again though once or twice is never enough for me it bores me to see the same teams in and out of EPL and whatever it is you call the next division
For me Newcastle being in this situation is less surprising than West Ham. Newcastle have got worse and worse. They have also been a team that has never clicked. But Newcastle going down would still be a shock.
yeah newcastle have only been going down hill for a while, and i cant say that i think it will stop, relagated this year or not, they are on there way out, but rlegation is one of the past part of the european football leagues, and as long as man u stay up im happy
Newcastle could be ****ed if they do get relegated. Apparently most of their players would retain their contracts if they go down as there is no relegation pay cut in them.
yeah well the players they have got arent working dfor them so it might be a good idea to clean house, but that is a lot of contract pay outs, but i agree, with any team that has been succesful, relegation is a killer because you lose so much money and support, and many players, itll be a killer
I think support is something Newcastle will never lose and they may struggle to get rid of the dead beats in their squad.
my dad still supports leeds even though they are in third div, i mean every team has a support base, but in the end you always have fair weather fans, and who wants to go watch newcatsle play cardiff or something like that in the lower divisions, you cant maintain a top flight team in the championship, and certainly not in the divisions
If you think relegation will really harm the Newcastle attendences much then you really dont know anything about the Toon Army. They have a massive claim at being the most loyal fans in the world.
im certainly not saying they will suddenly to like 3 people a game, i dont doubt that there are hardcore loyal fans as well, but if they are relgated and attendences don't drop i will be well shocked, and i would say awed by the support.
the duke would come back to australia before playing championship, and he is a better striker then owen, (at the least more consitent over his career)
the duke at least set up a goal, then owen failed, i mean free in the box with no-one to beat but the keep just outside the six yard, choke much micheal
Yeah, he hit the post once i think and got mighty close a couple of other times, he was by far their most dangerous players.
