Random game: Smoking Dragons vs Adelaiderpool

This is now just a random game since I hyped everyone up for a game.

 

You got the numbers wrong.

 

If I do have another random game, which I don't want to because I'd rather spend time simming, it'd be between Bovver/Das and Marcuss.

**** forums broke for a moment and I lost the commentary I had for the first few minutes.

15th minute: Adelaiderpool now play it down to Mata with the ball with only Lescott to beat. Eto'o is ahead of both of them and Mata cannot pass to him. He draws Lescott to the side and just ran around him with some fancy footwork! The Adelaiderpool support is up there now and Mata does a one-two with Maicon. A short pass now to Xavi who finds a gap to Torres in the penalty area! He's free and shoots, but that's going right towards van der Sar. Eto'o collects it again and tries to dribble it into the penalty area again. Tripped by Skrtel right outside the penalty area and that'll be a free kick to Adelaiderpool.

 

16th minute: Xavi with the free kick, half a yard from the penalty box. That hits the wall, I think it was Skrtel and it flies just over the goal. Corner kick. The ball drifts into the middle and Adebayor rises up to head it away from danger. Maicon beats Rooney to the ball but cannot control it and now Cahill has it on the counterattack! He plays it into the other half where Arteta is free and onside! Oh, lost chance there as Arteta dribbles the ball too far forward and Reina beats him to it and clears it.

18th minute: Rooney with a yellow card after being too enthusiastic about challenging for a free ball in the penalty area, taking Bruno Alves down in the process.

26th minute: Good play by Navas to Eto'o and now all he needs to do is pass it to the free Torres in front of him. He turns and... Skrtel takes it and Adelaiderpool find themselves scrambling back on defence. Rooney now at halfway, it's still 2 on 3 defenders but he draws Bruno Alves in before passing it forward to Adebayor. He decides he can't take on both defenders and passes it back to slow it down a bit. Now Cole in the middle.. he somehow finds Cahill between Pique and Bruno Alves and Tim Cahill now turns and dribbles between the two defenders! Reina tries to come forward and Cahill shoots for the bottom left corner! GOAL! Reina looked transfixed, but it's now 1-0 to Smoking Dragons.

 

28th minute: Navas is right on the Smoking Dragons goal line and it looks like Torres has gone down in the penalty area for some reason. No matter, play on. Navas now with the cross and Xavi looks like he's going to get it... no! Nesta comes forward to outjump him and now the Smoking Dragons are on the attack again. Nothing seems on though until the ball is played to Rooney on the left wing, marked by Maicon. He pauses and then taps it past Maicon. Maicon got it in the end and now Smoking Dragons have to restart the attack. Skrtel to Podolski to Cole to Cahill! He shoots but Reina is already right in his face and the ball bounces to the left where Maicon and.... PODOLSKI! GOAL! Reina was still out of position and had no chance to get to that one. That's 2-0 to Smoking Dragons.

 

38th minute: The ball is played forward to Cahill who looks free but there's Reina moving up and he HEADS it away from Cahill. OH DEAR! THAT'S GONE STRAIGHT TO ADEBAYOR WHO ONLY NEEDS TO TAP IT AROUND BARRY AND SHOOTS FROM ABOUT 30 YARDS OUT! GOAL! 3-0.
