Late 3rd Period: Pumas have a bit more speed now, they look well and truely back in the game, they're fending off a powerplay from the Falcons now though, Flack is in the box and due out in a few seconds. Herd has a shot, but it misses by a mile, he follows the puck up, Denton recovers it and passes it out wide to McDougal who fires the puck up the other end of the rink.... Herd smashes Denton against the boards very late though, and the ref has seen it, he's going to the box just as Flack has come back out. Pumas looking inspired now on the powerplay, they've got the Falcons outnumbered and looking tired, they're passing it around making the Falcons work hard. Flack has the puck, and is unmarked, he fakes a pass to Deane and buys himself more time to line up the shot. Chung has fallen for the fake and is a bit slow getting back into position as Flack shoots....... ...... It's in! It's just squeezed over Chung's Pad and just under his stick! Turns out it was Gemmell anyway. Flack's blood on the glass obscured my view at first. I raged. Double rage at them scoring a second!!
Very Late 3rd Period: Herd is back on the ice after the Ice Pumas goal, it's 5v5 for the last couple of minutes here, the Pumas look to have it, but 1 goal and we'll be into OT. The Falcons have nothing to loose and look to be going for it, all out attack, They're trying to get the puck to Herd in some space but Pilgrim and Denton won't give him in space anywhere near the goal. He's move back and out a little and gets the puck from Manera, Herd moves again as the defence look to close him down. He gets a shot off before being hit by Pilgrim but it just misses, Denton quickly ices the puck with second remaining. We'll have a face off in the Pumas zone. Falcons win the face off, puck finds it's way to Blunder. He gives it to Manera. Manera looking for Herd in space, but he can't get any. Manera fires it out to James who has a shot with almost no time left, but Vago saves it comfortabley and the buzzer goes, it's over. Ice Pumas have won the Pre-Season Cup for Season 1! They're celebrating while the Falcons skate off, Blunder has a few words about blood and tits as he passes Flack and Deane. I can't believe the PIM for the Falcons, the refs eyes were painted on. Lol @ the only time we get a PP, we score though.
