Had to work last night so missed the game. Saw glimpses of it on a TV in the distance at work but turned my back on it when I started to see regular post try celebrations in that second half.
Actually don't think it's a major problem for Souths even if they do lose Luke. He isn't anything like as good as people think. And he played like absolute balls last night. You'd prefer to have him but it's certainly not a deal breaker.
Yep. Korisou (sp?) would come in I assume and he should fill the void and if he needed a spell you could also play Keary there for a stint and move Sutton back to the halves.
Both Luke & Burgess are flip on the coin situations based on charges handed down this year, both could be grade 1's one week and nothing the next. Both players have significant carry over points which must make it a real nervous time for them.
Williams has apparently volunteered to help Luke get off. That's nice of him. I wonder if he'll do the same for Burgess
I did have a good laugh at Minichiello arguing with Suttor about JWH's "unnecessary contact" on Te'o, saying "it's in back play, the whistle was already gone." Yeah no shit cunt. That's why it makes no sense for JWH to do it. It obviously wasn't a headbutt but what moron does that after the whistle's been blown?
This is so good. Minichiello with one last, big fuck you to EWS before walking away from the game. Quarter chubb.
They'll fight it obviously but I think the hard line stance adopted by the NRL post McKinnon will see him gone. Absolute travesty IMO. Just yet more self-inflicted damage by the NRL's judiciary process. Fortunately Burgess is in the clear.
Whilst I reckon it's a weak charge, and I do reckon he will get off because it's coming into a grand final, I really hate the idea of suspended sentences for big games that the media are all throwing around.
Nah suspended sentences make perfect sense. Equating a regular club game with a GF, Prelim, Origin or Test is absurd. 1 week charges should be put off IMO.
