I posted these in the pitches thread but I realise heaps of cunts won't even open that thread until it's time to post their pitch up lol so it deserved its own thread.

    - In First Class cricket, wear/cracking is the most telling aspect of the pitch. The higher the number, the more bowler friendly the pitch will be in general.
    - This is quite the contrast in one day cricket, where the assistance values are much more important.
    - Medium-fast bowlers and fast-medium bowlers get assistance from both medium and fast categories, but get more assistance from the first adjective in their description (eg. medium-fast bowlers benefit primarily from medium assistance but also from fast assistance).
    - Finger spinners are more reliant on conditions than wrist spinners. A finger spinner will get more help from a spin-assisted track than a wrist spinner, but a wrist spinner will hold his own more than a finger spinner on a flat track.
    - Pitch assistance tends to nullify weaknesses more than it does exaggerate strengths. Look more at how many of each bowler you have in your best lineup as compared with other sides than at who your best two bowlers are.

Should have just made those who didn't read the thread suffer without your wisdom.
