I don't rate the Roosters as lowly as I do the Panthers hence why I'm so surprised we were beaten by them twice and especially so convincingly the first time. It's not that confusing?
The confusing part is the fact that you think the Roosters are a whole level above another side. They're not. They're in the same general group as Penrith where it really shouldn't be a great surprise as to who wins either way. They may be slightly better but certainly not in the "surprising" range where it's a significant upset. The Roosters have won one more game than Penrith despite winning a stack in the first six weeks when all the teams were still dusting off the cobwebs, their f/a is worse and they were underdogs with the bookies in this one as well.
It's the Sunday 3pm game curse. Everyone who watches this game each week turns into a huge sook for no apparent reason.
As opposed to the bloke who went on about Round 1 for months? Nothing like a good sook after the game, gotta let out all the frustration somehow.
I honestly do think we're a level above the Panthers, I thought they were wooden spoon certainties heading into the season. I'm not really surprised we lost in the context of the season i.e how we've been playing in recent months. However when I looked at the rosters entering the season I thought the Panthers would be the only team we should be beating this year. I don't see how it's any different to you being surprised how low the Knights are on the ladder despite having played accordingly to their current position. Unless you didn't actually think there was much separating these sides right from the outset in which case I'll just agree to disagree.
I think I actually tipped Penrith to finish ahead of the Roosters at the start of the year, so "agree to disagree" it is.
No worse feeling than when your team looses and there's no other games left in the day to take your mind off it.
Haha, love beating the Roosters. Burns was stupid, but the tackle wasn't as bad as the ref or roosters fans thought, IMO. Will get a few weeks of course, but was glad he did it on the Kennedy, guy was a fuckwit every time I noticed him. And now no burns means Coote should get more time at 5/8th for sure, which he did a pretty good first up job at. Mansour had a shocker, proving once again he is Gordon V2, because his first couple of goes at fullback were quite average too.
Fuck that was painful. Seriously leilua should be dropped next week. He was fucking horrible. That penalty he gave away honestly killed our chances straight away. Oh and what the fuck has happened to Aubo? He has completely lost it. Where he is playing on the field is no excuse for all these errors. At the end of the day the reason we are last in all these attacking stats is because of our completion rate. We refuse to let ourselves have a full opportunity to get yardage or attack. I don't know how much longer I can take watching such a dumb bunch of fuckwits running around.
Agreed. Penalty and on report was enough. Considering other things we've seen this year... Hell Inglis the night before wasn't a send off....
