Tino and Gilbert gone. Arrow long odds to be fit for game 1. Munster hasnt played a game. Hopefully there are no more setbacks. Walsh should be fine in a few weeks.

Ponga to 6 if Munster is out. Tino is a rather large out, hard to cover.

Horsburgh should be back in the next few weeks, there's Hopgood too. We should be able to form a good pack who'll lift for Origin.

Didnt work at club level so why in Origin? Ponga isnt up to front line defence. Has to be Dearden imo. Played great in his one Origin.

Munster will be fine in a few weeks.

    QLD AN ABSOLUTE RABBLE!!

Ponga debuted for QLD at lock and was elite. He can easily handle it, if he doesn't get knocked out. Ponga has always played great for QLD.

Horsbough was back last week in NSW cup, and is playing there again this week, Ricky isn't picking him. I'm still not sold on Hopgood.

Flegler, Mo, Cotter, Collins and Carrigan will all need to play bigger minutes. Hopefully Arrow is back in time, having a forward to cover an edge will be needed.

    8. Flegler
    10. Cotter
    11. Fifita
    12. Nanai
    13. Carrigan

    14. Hunt
    15. Fotuaika
    16. Collins
    17. Arrow

    Still a very good pack.

He came off the bench. Not the same thing. Asking him to play 6 at Origin when he's playing fullback is a bad idea imo. He needs to be wider to utilise his passing game.

I'm happy for them to pick Dearden again if Munster is out. He was great in debut in a decider 2 years back, and that tackle on Cobbo last night proves that he is an Origin player.

There's some good young halves around for Qld. Was very impressed with the way Schneider filled Cleary's shoes, quality team around him albeit. Mam will be there one day, I'm willing to bet. Him with Hammer and Walsh down the left would be lethal.

Why do you need 3 middles on the bench? Kaufusi should be starting.

And its time for Edwards to be given a crack. That solo try where he fooled Tedesco and kicked for himself was amazing.

Or Trbojevic at 1. Enough with the ball hog, stats fiend.

Josh Kerr has been pretty good since arriving at the Fins last year. I wouldn't be against him getting a spot on the bench if we lose any more top guys.

They'd never do it, but Turbo fb and Teddy centre would concern me as a Queenslander. Teddy being a 200m centre, while being a decoy or crash baller in backline plays would be a handful I reckon.

Because the edges should be playing 80mins. Arrow would be there to play middle or an edge if there is an injury.

Proves that Cobbo is a fat fuck that can't run more than 50m. He got chased down against Penrith very easily too. The idea of Cobbo being quick is a myth.

Nah thats a nonsense ethos imo. An impact edge forward is a huge weapon to have. Fresh man giving opposition halves no respite. Worked immediately when Nanai came on last year. Provides cover for injury to a second rower and centre at a pinch too.

You dont need 8 players to cover 4 positions.

And it worked immediately with Liam Martin in Game 1 too. Its a super under-utilised strategy.

Wasnt really talking about Origin for the record. Just the people who slagged him off last year - Cribb saying he'd be in reserve grade at most other clubs, Magic basically saying it's cause he plays for Penrith etc. Just lazy, reactionary stuff where they overcorrect for perceived media hype.

Anyway, it's clear as day to me that Edwards, Drinkwater and Turbo are the three best options. And with half the Panthers side plus Koroisau and Crichton likely to be picked it's perfectly reasonable to pick Edwards. Tedesco shouldnt even be in the conversation at this point.

I do fully believe Trbojevic at 1 makes for their most potent attacking force but they might have to shift him again to strengthen another position.
