Yeah. You're a bit of a fuckwit aye.

mf has 2 meanings, often used as:

    (i) Mother Fucker
    (ii) My Friend

definition (i) is more commonly seen in chatrooms; whereas definition (ii) seen in multiplayer games.

if someone uses mf towards you, it's best to pretend you dont understand, so they will explain - either (i) or (ii). Since you dont want to just start insulting them.
    Example:
<Shinosuke> Blah.. lets stop the conversation.. I dont want to talk abt it anymore.
    <Person1> ok mf.
    <Shinosuke> mf?
    <Person1> mf - my friend.
<Shinosuke> Oh.. ok.. i thought.. nvm.

Yeah. You're a bit of a fuckwit aye.

    Why so tense

  6. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

So that's two NSWmen who don't know when to use a question mark.

  7. Magic AJ Parker

Says the bloke who ended two back to back posts with aye, an questioning inflection in itself.

  8. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

 "an questioning." Seriously hope that was just a typographical error.

Something that seeks, though I wasn't actually seeking, a response is not necessarily a question. For example, one can say "I feel like a beer aye." That sentence can have an implicit desire to elicit a response but it's not a question and thus does not require a question mark.

  9. Magic AJ Parker

Fwiw it was. I deleted what I had written before but obviously not far back enough.

Sounds like a rhetorical question to me and unless they've changed the year 3 grammar books it should have been followed by a question mark.

  10. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

It's not a rhetorical question because it's not a question at all. It was a statement.

  11. Magic AJ Parker

Well then define "aye" in the context in which it isn't interrogative?

I.e the context you used it in.

  12. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

It was not interrogative. It was affirmative.

  13. Magic AJ Parker

"aye" slang for "hey" is asking for confirmation, rhetorical, sarcastically or not.

    You're seriously clutching

No it's not. "Hey" can certainly be used to elicit agreement, or in your words, ask for confirmation. That would warrant a question mark. However, it can also be used to attract attention. Both of these are listed in the definition in the Oxford dictionary. I wasn't asking a question, okay?

Haha. Yeah I'm clutching because you think you can tell me what I meant. I seem to recall you having a go at me for doing that very thing.

I'll say what I said about the Catholic stuff - you're free to discuss this matter further, but if you wish to do so, start another thread or do it via the PM system. Any further posts about question marks in here will result in cockblocking.

Yeah, right. Catholicism. What's that all about????????????????????????

    Okay, I'm done.

So apparently, Ricky Stuart is quoted as saying he "fucking hates" QLD's dominance. As much of wanker as I believe him to be, he's certainly determined. And I expect a very determined NSW football side. I think this game really could go either way.

Yeah, for all Stuart's tactical failings and contradictory statements, it's quite obvious that he really.. gives a shit. It's why I'd take him over Bellamy for the job any day.

I've actually tried to quantify it in my mind but seriously, how bad do you think the choice to move Josh Morris over to mark Inglis is?

  19. Cribbage RG Cribb

I don't think it matters which side he plays on; he's going to be targeted and destroyed either way as long as Queensland hold their own up the middle (and lets face it.. lol).

  20. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

Mm. I tend to agree that he's probably a liability anywhere he defends but I honestly don't think you could pick a worse spot. I'd sooner ask the bloke to defend middle-third than to mark Inglis one-on-one.
