Move the time slot back to 1908, it's traditional.

Yeah. And let's not forget that, of course, it was never a tradition in Brisbane to host a Grand Final at Lang Park in September....

If you can't see my point regarding the importance of playing the final in the game's home state, then I can't help you. Your second sentence is just stupid too.

Far out QLD'ers give me the shits, if you really want the Grand Final build a bigger stadium, throw more money at it, packed Suncorp is what 55k GF in Sydney gets 80k minimum if the two least supported teams were playing, thats a extra 25k worst case, which is an extra 1.25mil in revenue if the tickets sell at a base rate of 50 bucks. Seriously no-one except for maybe yourselves and butt lickers really care that you may/may not deserve it. It is the games biggest spectacle and will be and hopefully always played at the games biggest stadium.

Yeah. I really couldn't give a shit tbh. I just think that ****vas' attitude is such a Sydney centric one.

Yeah, don't get me wrong I have lived on the Gold Coast for more of my life than I have down here & do believe Suncorp followed by Skilled Park are two of the best to actually watch footy. But people need to just realize the game is Professional and by it being professional most loyalties and whether people deserve things take a backseat to the business side and what is best revenue wise and your just an obnoxious fool to think otherwise. Cause playing it at ANZ is best for the game money wise.

I'm not so certain that it is best money wise though. I mean, just compare the prices for origin games. In Brisbane it's way more exxy than Sydney. They could easily sell out Suncorp with prices at 1.5x Sydney prices. I just think that, although it's ludicrous, the game is still based in Sydney and it's always a good chance that there'll be a Sydney team involved.

Yeah, I am not quite up to speed on the prices so my argument ----> window, I never plan on going to one ever unless The Sharks make it one day (Touchwood) cause then regardless of where it is played or cost I will be there with my bells on.

I don't think that you'd want to put yourself through that misery tbh.

  13. Wilson SB Wilson

Yeah, I'm torn to whether I'd go if the Sharks made it. Cause if we lost there'd be a good possibility I'd get arrested.

    Below the belt.

You've just arbitrarily applied the scale of traditionalism that's necessary though, which means it holds absolutely no weight what-so-ever. And if you can't see that that was what my second sentence was alluding to, then you're either being deliberately ignorant or you're a muppet.

I think everyone needs to agree that tradition is irrelevant to the head honchos at the NRL, it is merely used to hide behind for the powerbrokers based in NSW.

so if queensland wants the gf if their teams are involved does that mean a melbourne vs warriors GF has a case to be played in melbourne or nz?

yeah thought not, queenslanders just need to get over themselves

  18. Alec AD Funkotron

Well, considering that Warriors will never make it to the grand final, I don't think anyone needs to think about this anyway. :p

  19. Ged GEC King

I'll put my vote in for muppet. I mean, just look at his Australian team that he named.
