A little, but both teams get what they want. Masters gets picks to rebuild and not be stuck around 8th every season, Eds improves his team. Win-win - which is what every trade should be.
What the fuck? Masters was more than happy to do that. He even offered to throw in the Lakers' second round pick because he was so happy with the deal. He's tanking and now gets two picks to rebuild a nothing side rather than one, what's the issue?
I don't see what use Mayo or Sanders would have to masters at this point, and he specifically asked for an extra draft pick presumably to pad out his squad rather than build around a superstar
Mousey said you can still do the trade as long as he keeps his pick. OKC's pick would be something like 30 whilst Toronto's is lottery protected so it has no use to him. His current pick would be likely to be top 5.
I don't understand why it's Mousey's job to ensure every trade is "win-win"? Isn't that why we're managing the teams? Or are we just going to remove the human element? I offered Masters plenty of different offers and he was more than happy with this one, as I said, he even offered to throw in the Lakers R2 as well. He initiated the convo re: trades, had a few different ones to pick and chose this one, and was so happy with it that he was happy throw in a sweetener. I didn't do any more trades after that as I thought I was done but Mousey vetos the trade and then sims two months with a squad I really wasn't happy with (and it showed, 7-7...). If I was told there was an issue and told to trade back, or given some more time to trade and sort myself out it'd be understandable but he veto'd it at 3am or whatever and the months were simmed at 5am or so. Just a bit dire that I was punished for supposedly trading well. ah well
You fully know that Masters sees FIRST ROUND DRAFT PICK and thinks they're all the same. You thought you'd successfully raped him, and now you're pissed off it didn't go through. I used your previously submitted lineup, so don't even try that. That was what you wanted, before you came up with the most lopsided trade in history. If you, while running CPL Football or whatever, saw someone flip 4 assets for 4 ridiculously better assets you'd probably veto too. It's about making it fun for all 30 teams - not just you. It's not a race to find who can rape Masters the hardest first.
You have to remember the nba works the way it does because everyone is really knowledgeable in the area of basketball and how to value players therefore lopsided trades don't happen. The moment you have differing knowledge it really does require veto powers every now and then or else you end up with a 1 sided league and the moment that happens you may aswell fully privitase and do away with salary caps
Prior to about half a month ago I'd never even watched an NBA game; doubt I have more knowledge than anyone in the league.
Just so Mousey knows, I'm in the middle of exams so I won't really be doing anything with this until after.
lel forgot about this BBallSm takes priority atm. Will do next couple of months later in the week though. If I haven't by Thursday someone remind me, I have Friday off from work.
i would be keen on bringing this back on some sort of level if there was sufficient interest and previous runners were okay with it?
Ah, more evidence no-one ever leaves. Would be keen, yeah. We actually need more people than last time IIRC.
