Alright let's try to get this going. I'm a bit confused about the "intro packs" since they're listed with deck lists. Are they actual decks or just packs that we'll need to open to create those decks?

Intro packs are basic pre-built decks with cards from that block. You could compare it to a Yugi or Kaiba Starter Deck.
What Iridium said. It's a list of cards to be supplimented by the packs and their cards. Like YGOsim really, thought that people may understand but obviously I wasn't very clear, my apologies (irl its those cards listed+ 2 packs or something as the real product) Will move recommendations to OP. There's a lot more options than YGOsim but that's as intended and wilk help with diversity (ygosim struggles for early diversity imo)
Temur's a big matters theme with low removal count normally (relies on red for removal). You should be fine Sultai would be the hard to play one, then probably Jeskai and Abzan
Yeah, the deck looks pretty cool, and when I used to play I liked me some green and red. So yeah, I'll lock that in.
Few other things. Will probably be using cockatrice, it's not at all automated but it'll be fine to use. There's a few hotkeys which will help and I'll link download when I get home (and edit OP) Pack choices can probably be done then too. There enough simulators for that and I can offer opinions on how they relate to starters/what shouls be valuable in trade terms too
