Like I said, they've been ordinary for like a month now. Newcastle played like shit, but still could have won if some ref calls went the other way. Not the best form to be taking into the prelims with a week off.

Haha yeh they had the minor premiership wrapped up ages ago, their main goal for a while now has been just to get through to the semi's as unscathed as possible. Certainly didn't see any other teams 'stepping it up a level'.

As a Roosters supporter I watched us go into the finals series last year with the worst momentum out of every team yet win 3 straight to make it to the Grand Final despite everyone saying how unimpressive we were against the Tigers in the first final and the Cowboys the week before. That kind of back fired...
