About to start some league thing with my mates, basically a sealed tournament that goes over a few weeks and you get a booster to add too your deck every week.
Haven't played much Commander myself but it looks like fun. I don't have my cards any more and not planning to get any in the meantime. Should get a tourney going on Cockatrice.
Damn I miss my Magic, last I played was the Kamigawa series, something like 357 years ago it seems, sad.
Try that tutorial I linked you to. Pretty sure that runs you through all the basics and gets you set up.
Come at me bro. I only play OP/douchy decks that I get bored of after 3 games or unusual decks that work in formats that aren't draft. Cube still the best format though.
At a store they'd go way too fast for a beginner and they'd go straight onto complicated rules like the stack etc.
I learnt from decent players, so I've actually got a great understanding of what's actually good/bad etc. But learning was hard.
