    nah. scattergunning is a tactic I employ (and other do/should too) just to get people to talk. it's the result of the scattergunning which creates the fos. if I scattergun someone but go no further I don't claim credit for picking it - I only claim credit if I go after them for a good while inc. trying to lead a lynch on them.
