This guy is still the best from either code: http://www.youtube.com/watch?annota...&feature=iv&src_vid=OsXTa7UCGlk&v=Judms69Zw8g
And Gareth Ellis' flick pass has nothing on Benji. He got caught on the last so he got rid of it the best he could. Benji's was pure class.
Debut for a club, not professional football. His first try was OK, he didn't get touched for his next four. Couldn't hack it in the NRL.
It is pro - what I mean to say, is that it wasn't his first game of professional footy. He'd been playing for years.
Laurie Daley when he was 16. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ruOme4am2co - He played the U/16's grand final, won. Backed up half an hour later and won the U/18's. 2 hours later he started at 5/8th in first grade and won man of the match. Popping a field goal to get proceedings underway. Part of Junee folklore.
But was his first game in union at pro level and prob his first game since he was 12 lol that's a pretty good effort if you ask me
Bullshit - they went to the video ref. It was all good. Every time Bill scores from a kick someone calls him offside, but he never is. Ever. I honestly don't think he's been called offside in 5 seasons. He's just one of the great humans.
Yeah, but 5 tries on debut in union is the equivalent of one try in any game in league. So it's nothing special.
