http://www.cricsim.com/site/stats.php?season=12&comp=6&team=11 Sexy looking season stats for the Fangs. Even Jager's didn't end up that bad.
Think I was saying pretty much the same thing in the Saders subbie a few days ago haha, maybe fast bowlers can be their next project. Defs need more of them signing up
A lot of recent seasons have ALC teams like that with lots of future stars tbf, and they often look even better in hindsight. They usually manage to choke in the final though for whatever reason. Season 11 Somestars: http://www.cricsim.com/site/stats.php?season=11&comp=6&team=6 Season 10 Test Eagles: http://www.cricsim.com/site/stats.php?season=10&comp=6&team=5 Season 9 Brumbies: http://www.cricsim.com/site/stats.php?season=9&comp=6&team=2 Season 8 Knights: http://www.cricsim.com/site/stats.php?season=8&comp=6&team=3 Season 8 Knights are remembered so well because I think the standard of ALC went up in general that season. It really became more of a development comp for new players that season, whereas before it was more generally just used for semi-active fringe players and really out of form guys, with the odd mid-season rookie sign-up. It was unheard of to have such an active and well-followed ALC team. Season 8 changed that, specifically Season 8 Knights I guess, and the ALC has been a lot more mainstream to follow since then. I think this Fangs team is a bit special though; the batting lineup anyway. Better than the rest of them IMO.
I suppose you could say that if the S8 Knights made the ALC a seriously followed comp, the S12 Fangs took that a step further by making it so serious that I had to start simming third grade in S13..
Yeeeeeeessssss! The expectations have been lifted somewhat. So happy we got up! Congratulations to the Punters, put up a hell of a fight especially in those first innings.
SC: 1933 Runs @ 42.96 That's pretty awesome for someone who's thought of as such a disappointment I realised it's bolstered by some softish runs for Vic A but still...
It's not bad, I think I'm just overshadowed by the freakish nature of Force and Ardley! Also my habit of hitting three fours in an over then getting out for 12 or something is a contributing factor I reckon.
Its actually somewhat odd that hardly anyone seems to point out just how good Shiv's been this season for us.
