How the fuck is he guilty of that. The case Melbourne presented to the tribunal was 100% spot on and an excellent case which imo proved he did nothing wrong yet the tribunal find him guilty and give him 2 games for something 100% out of his control. It's not like he could stop Georgiou from tackling Lynch into his path. It's not like Lynch wasn't dragged down into the path of him and it wasn't like he kept going - he fucking stopped and tried to slow the moment he saw danger occured and merely braced. I know we've got a thread for the MRP but this one is deserving of it's own. The worst decision in MRP history IMO
I mean the last thing the game or Melbourne needs is kids coming into the league, playing footy and playing it tough and getting rubbed out for accidental shit like this. I mean Viney is an example for all kids about how to approach the game as an 18/19 year old and now he's been rubbed out for it. Fucking ridiculous.
That Gleeson guy is a cocksmoker. "He could've spun out of the contest" "Should pushed off his other leg and run past the contest"
Definitely looked like an accident. Unfortunately the game has gone soft so it's not like this is a one-off.
If Viney did avoid contact which the AFL suggested he should have done then he would have been labelled soft and absolutely crucified by the media and probably the coach. Such a joke!
Absolute joke of a decision. More evidence that this game is going to shit.. Soon there'll be more contact in Wog ball.
I'm a bit lost here, he's decided to bump after having ample time to pull out and made contact with the head? Of course he's going to get in hot water..
Nah it's Jack Ziebell's fault. Ever since he knocked the protected species in Riewoldt out it has been fucked. Might as well play netball. At least we can still get away with this shit in lower grades or I wouldn't bother playing.
If people pull out of contact like that then they get dropped from the team. Horrible, horrible call.
